Project Scope
Ingenia was recently engaged by Maritime Constructions to design the Renmark Waterfront Park Observation Deck / Jetty. The new Waterfront Park development is located in the town centre of Renmark and will provide recreational facilities to the local community and surrounding areas.
Challenges
With the observation deck needing to find balance between fitting in with the waterfront scenery, whilst at the same time being a new and attractive feature for local residents to enjoy, the project began. Ingenia’s engineering team worked closely with Maritime Constructions to come up with a unique design that would fit the bill.
Conclusion
At 26m long, the impressive structure now forms part of the new waterfront development and provides views from the Western side of the Murray River. The modern design also incorporates the use of sustainable decking materials, using 100% post-consumer plastic.
