Case Study: Olympic Dam – Reducing Industrial Vibrations

One job we’re particularly proud of was at Olympic Dam. The site had a vibration problem; big machinery was shaking nearby structures more than it should have. Instead of shutting everything down, we got to work.

We ran detailed vibration studies, modelled how the structures were behaving, and came up with a reinforcement and damping system that absorbed the stress without affecting operations. Once installed, the difference was immediate. Less vibration, longer equipment life, and ultimately, a safer workspace.

It’s a good example of how Ingenia operates: understanding the problem properly, then fixing it in a way that makes sense in practice.
